THE DYING BUTCHER & OTHER STORIES

CIGARETTE STORIES

As a nice button on 2013, MBE decided to put up 'The Dying Butcher, The Prostitute & The Fisherman'. A one-act play by Sam LaFrance, we had such great feedback after premiering and running it during 'Bench Stories' back in 2012, we thought we'd have some fun and put it up again.  The line up was slightly different, with Valorie Hubbard as the Fisherwoman.  The perfect pre-Christmas show!

MBE's fourth production. Cigarette Stories was a series of one-act plays; written, directed and produced by MBE.  Cigarette Stories, much like Bench Stories, captured intimate moments in time between two people - whilst lighting up a cigarette.  The show was a huge success - we completely sold out, and had such a high demand we had to extend our run! This was put on at The Little Victory Theatre in Burbank.

A NIGHT WITH TENNESSEE WILLIAMS

MBE's second production.  Stories on the Rocks is an eclectic mix of six original ten-minute plays showcasing themes of revenge, sacrifice, loss, regret and revelation, with a clever mix of humor, absurdism and tragedy. The show had a six-week run from February - March 2013 at The Missing Piece Theatre in Burbank.

BENCH STORIES

STORIES ON THE ROCKS

The very first production by MBE in 2012. A collection of five original one-act plays. 'If this bench could speak, what would it say?' Bench Stories was created to capture the intimate moments of everyday life, and the people in them. It was played to a full house at both The ACME Theatre and The Zephyr Theatre in Hollywood.

The Miserable Brilliance Ensemble presented a night of works by Tennessee Williams. The night included early as well later works by the great American playwright. The show was a big success and completely sold out at The Little Victory Theatre in Burbank.
